Integral to DSM's approach to all projects is quality communication. DSM works closely with clients to fully understand their goals and objectives, as well as concerns and uncertainties.

DSM emphasizes early and ongoing communication with stakeholders to benefit from their input and to ensure that proposed approaches to environmental challenges have the maximum support to take a plan through implementation and evaluation.

DSM staff have expertise in facilitating formal stakeholder groups and conducting focus groups.

DSM staff develop new training curriculum and conduct training sessions with government, non-profit and private sector clients on a range of environmental topics, including waste and recycling facility operations, special event recycling programs, waste characterization strategies, compost operations, and toxic use reduction activities.
